From May 11 to June 1, the master class “Benchmarking of international best practices in managing the work of nursing faculties, cooperation in organizing PhD educational programs and assessing Master’s and PhD theses” was held within the framework of the working component 2.4.1.
The event was organized by the Utrecht Medical University, the Netherlands, and S. D. Asfendiyarov Kazakh National Medical University.
During 5 days of the online master class, participants discussed the results of a survey of Kazakhstani and foreign universities regarding management practices of organizing educational programs in nursing, the practice of international cooperation and strengthening partnerships in this area, as well as the assessment procedure for master’s and PhD doctoral theses.
Based on the results of the work carried out, relevant and project recommendations were obtained for the further development and improvement of the management of nursing faculties, funding research in the nursing field, national and international cooperation in the field of organizing training in PhD doctoral and master’s degrees in nursing, and the procedure for assessing master’s and PhD doctoral theses. Further, these recommendations will be refined throughout the project, and subsequently will be submitted to the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
