INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE “TRINITY OF NURSING: CLINICAL PRACTICE, RESEARCH AND EDUCATION”
Within the framework of the AccelEd project – “ Accelerating Master and PhD level Nursing Education Development in the Higher Education System in Kazakhstan – AccelEd“, the Final Conference “Trinity of Nursing: clinical practice, research and education” was held from November 9-10, 2023. The event brought together leading specialists and academic leaders in the field of nursing.
Greetings to the participants of the conference were made by:
Vitaly Koykov, Vice-Rector for Research and Strategic Development of the Astana Medical University; Ayan Mysaev, Deputy Director of the Department of Science and Human Resources of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan; Margrieta Langins, Policy Adviser in the Field of Nursing and Obstetrics, WHO Regional Office for Europe; Kenneth Dion, President of Sigma Theta Tau International Laura Paluanova, Coordinator of the National Office of ERASMUS+ in Kazakhstan; Jūratė Macijauskienė, Coordinator of the AccelEd project, Dean of the Faculty of Nursing, Lithuanian University of Health Sciences, Lithuania.
Opening the conference, Vitaly Koikov, Vice-Rector for Research and Strategic Development of the Astana Medical University, expressed recognition of the importance of the tasks set for the development of nursing in Kazakhstan. Vitaly Koikov stressed the participation of academic partners from Lithuania, Finland and the Netherlands, as well as representatives of medical universities and academies in the AccelEd project.
In the two-day conference, according to the program, the participants were presented with plenary sessions, sectional papers and short lectures by local and foreign experts in the field of improving nursing science.
The International Scientific and Practical Conference “Trinity of Nursing: Clinical Practice, Research and Education” organized by Astana Medical University together with partners from European and Kazakh medical universities has become a platform for an active exchange of experience and ideas, as well as for strengthening partnerships in the field of nursing education, research and practice.
Following the results of the conference, a resolution was adopted. The conference materials were posted on the official website of the project https://projectacceled.com/ru /.
